Core activities of the partnership
- Support partnership groups with waterways projects and activities aligned to Community Waterways Partnership priorities
- Convene quarterly Steering Group meetings for advice and strategic input
- Provide an umbrella framework for waterways education initiatives
- Facilitate riparian planting opportunities
- Organise and deliver workshops and field trips to upskill and connect partners
- Publish a quarterly digital newsletter and regular updates to maintain engagement
- Host an annual CWP Hui to celebrate achievements and foster collaboration
- Administer the annual Community Waterways Partnership contestable fund
- Engage partners with Christchurch City Council’s mahi under the Comprehensive Stormwater Network Discharge Consent (CSNDC) through an annual presentation
- Support, organise, and attend waterways-related community events
- Coordinate and fund the annual Mother of All Clean Ups event
- Share tailored funding opportunities relevant to waterways projects
- Facilitate the Stormwater Superhero Awards
- Fund and support stormwater education and awareness through the Stormwater Superhero Trailer
